Bad design, too big and adjustable doesnβt work well. Not worth it.

This cap is perfect for working outside on a cool day. The fleece lining is quite thin, so it’s a nice “in-between” hat for when you want to keep the wind off your ears, but a full-blown winter hat is too warm. It’s also super comfortable. As others have mentioned, it does look a bit funny. I think this is due to the kind of bulbous shape of the top, as opposed to the normal tighter fit of a baseball cap that people are used to. IMO the bigger your head, the better this cap. Fortunately I myself have an XL dome.I realized after I ordered this that a waterproof cap is not all that good for real rain. The rain would roll right off the cap and down your neck. For a light drizzle though, this keeps your hair and face from getting damp. So all good there. You’ll want a real hood in serious rain.

This winter cap is nothing to look at, but it is eminently practical. It does what it’s supposed to do, viz. it keeps one’s head and ears warm. It is one-size with two ways of making it fit one’s head. The color is nondescript, and neutral enough to go with most anything. In the bleak midwinter you’re probably not overly concerned for fashion; you just want to stay warm. This should do it. I think this works better than ear muffs, and is far more comfortable. On cold but sunny days you’ll be glad for the brim. It is light-weight as your average baseball cap, which surprised me, but the is what keeps you war, m. The lining works. So if warmth is more important than fashion, by all means get one of these. In the long-run, being warm is what counts.

This hat is very water resistant and the inner lining is very comfortable. It’s fully adjustable with a velcro strap at the back and a drawstring for tightening the back of the ear flaps. The hat looks a bit boxy, but the lack of any logos or brand names makes up for that. The edge of the brim is reflective which I wasn’t thrilled about at first, but seeing as I’m out working late on dark Winter nights, I can see the utility of it.On the down side, the insulation is very thin and almost nonexistent for the ear flaps. This hat should keep my head warm enough through most of the Winter, but on those serious days when it’s -15 and colder, I’m going to need something more substantial. My plan is to wear this hat under a hood.

Because I couldnβt hear you with these soft, warm, flaps pulled down over my ears. Oh, you said it looked dumb. Well, you know what else looks dumb? Wearing your dumb beanie hat in Summer! Youβre not original! Mike Nesmith brought us the look in 1966βand his mother brought us whiteout (look it up).Iβve had fleece-lined ball caps similar to this one, and I think this is a fine version. Itβs got a soft shell and fleece lining, with a sturdy adjustable strap in the back that adjusts the fit and affects the look. The earflaps also have a pull-string adjustment. The color has a soft, worn look. Itβs a warm version of the ball cap style thatβs probably best for hiking and the like. Very comfortable for short-haired/shaved heads in cool/cold weather.I like this hat. Most of the earflap caps in this price range are of a similar quality and look. Carhartt makes one for twice the price, and Stetson has one for thrice the price … and they both look kinda dumb. I prefer the soft shell on this to the stiffer look of others. It can be better formed to your head. With this style, the trick is getting those earflaps looking right until you need to pull them down. I recommend half down, not flappy, but folded up. Once you pull them all the way down theyβll look flat and funny; but, if itβs that cold, everyone will be walking by quickly with their heads down and not looking at your hat.If youβre reading this review, then youβre curious about the earflap lifestyle. This is a good hat to try and see if itβs for you.Recommended.

great for weather in the 50 and 60. It fit my extra large head with room to spare,

It is lite weight, too lite. The flaps do not cover my entire ear. I don’t like the way it fits.
