It’s soft and comfortable. I have a considerably sized cranium. I’m 6 ft 4 and a xxl tall shirt. This fits great. Problem is the chin strap is merely a metal bar with a Velcro strap. Also I don’t think the front flap folds down. Some hats they do some they don’t. Some of its design seems more ornamental and for looka than function.

I wish I would have bought a hat like this years ago. Knit caps make my head itch and the bottoms of my ears feel freezing cold. Used this on a couple of ski trips, and was exactly what I needed.

This style of hat is something you see people wearing in the movies. Now I see why. This is very warm and I really like the idea of the faux fur lined back that extends down over your neck. A normal winter hat usually slowly exposes the bottom of your ears and it’s hard to get any coverage on the back of your neck. This hat solves all that.I’m not a big fan of the chin strap but it certainly has a purpose for those windy days and I see why. And it’s very easy to use. I also like the idea that the ear flaps on the sides are actually an extra cover. You can fold them up and button them up. The hat still gives you full coverage over your ears, but it exposes a small hole so you would be able to hear better. I don’t think I would ever put them up, but you never know.This is my new favorite winter hat.

I have what is generally classified as a Large head, and I got the M-L size. With the flaps unfastened or under the chin the hat fits snugly, but with the flaps fastened over the head it causes the hat to crinkle slightly and fit as if it were a size smaller. In hindsight I probably should have ordered a size L-XL. So my recommendation would be if you’re a Medium, buy the M-L, Large buy the L-XL, etc.The faux-fur is soft and the overall hat is warm and comfortable. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that there is only velcro on one side such that you have to take the hat off to fasten the flaps up. If there were velcro on both sides of the strap you could easily fasten it without taking off the hat.

I’m really happy with this new winter hat. I think it’s a made well and it will do a great job of keeping your head warm in the cold weather! The padding feels great on the inside and the fleece forehead strip is comfortable. I like the velcro for the chin strap. I have also have a Mad Bomber hat like this and it uses a plastic chin strap and that’s broken on me before. These definitely run larger than the Mad Bomber variety(see the side by side photo), so it’s slightly bigger on my head. I think this allows it keep the back of your neck warm as well. However, it still fits well and I’m really happy with it! It’s a great stylish winter hat. I think you’d be happy with your purchase!

Nice to be able to choose a size the fit my giant head. I wear a 7 3/4 ball cap, and the L/XL size was correct. Itβs adjustable but not entirely necessary. I wore this in Idaho and was nice and toasty.
