I really like the ear flaps and that they actually cover all of my ear. My ears are really sensitive to the cold wind, and I need them fully covered so this hat satisfies that need. The front brim sets rather low on my forehead, which isn’t so bad I suppose because then it offers more sun protection/coverage. However, I tried wearing a pair of sunglasses with this hat on a particularly bright day and the brim pushed the sunglasses down hard on my nose–it was not comfortable. So I guess I can’t wear both.

Great hat for walking the dog. Keeps your head and ears warm without being bulky. It has a slit for a ponytail but I have short hair and it works for me. If you like a baseball type hat but want to keep your ears warm on cool days, this hat is perfect.

This hat is perfect for keeping the sun out of my eyes and the ear flaps are excellent, stay down and keep my ears warm. This has been an ongoing problem in the winter. especially on snowy days when I want to be out snowshoeing or just walking. It does seem a little large, but that is a minor problem.
