I saw this ushanka and had to have it! It is orange (my pick) and has a rabbit fur lining, which is very warm on the old noggin. The hat is a little snug for me, but I also have a head that breaks the one size fits all labels. I should have gotten the XXL instead for a better fit, but didn’t know if it would be too big. At the end of the day it still does fit well, so I am still happy and once it is broken in, I’ll be all set. I don’t think that many people will be brave enough to get this hat because it is more of an older style of hat, so having a good personality will surely help. The hat is well made and feels like it will last more than one season. In addition, it is water resistant, which is great for rain and snow. I don’t partake in any outdoor sports, but I do work in my unheated barn, so this will be a lifesaver in the winter. As always, I will update my review if anything changes, but this is a well-made, useful, warm, comfortable hat with a specific style and I am very happy. Stay stylish out there, folks!

The top of the hat is made from a water-resistant nylon and has an adjustable strap across the back to hold it closer to the neck. The inside lining is made of a smooth polyester fabric that is quilted to hold the insulating filling in place. The rabbit fur is just on the trim and ear flaps.The fur is soft, but because it is real fur, it sheds. The hat comes with a buckle clip to secure the ear flaps together under your chin or to hold them together on top of the hat. There are smaller ear flaps that are held in place with buttons. There are also buttons above that can be used to secure the smaller flaps upwards. That said, the fur is so thick around the loop that itβs hard to button and unbutton. A small hole is exposed when the flap is up.Make sure to refer to the sizing chart when ordering, so it fits. There is very little stretch or give in this hat.

I’ve been walking a lot this year and I shave my head, so now that it’s getting below freezing here I wanted to get a really warm hat to use for long walks and snow blowing.When I opened this hat up I was surprised to find that the top felt kind of thin and not that soft, and I thought it would be uncomfortable and maybe not that warm at all. It’s good and cold here now, it was in the teens last night, and I can tell you after wearing this hat in the cold for a bit that it is both comfortable and very warm.The parts touching your face and neck are all rabbit fur, which makes it extra comfy.

What I liked about this hat, was that it was real fur. And indeed, it is. I live in Minnesota where cold is no joke. So far, this hat has been mighty warm when the temps have dropped. I have a smallish head and ordered the small/medium and it fits quite well. There is actually a strap on the back which you can tighten if it is too large. The inside is quilted and really comfortable. It’s nice that when it’s cold and windy, I can buckle the flaps down over my ears and around my face and on warmer days, I can buckle them up on top of my head. This will definately be my hat of choice when the weather turns cold in Minnesota.

-First off this hat is gorgeous!-Make sure you check the measurements for your size, I got a large and it fits great without smashing my hair flat.-Super warm and the fur is very soft, yes it does shed but that isn’t a big deal to me. I got this because I can’t stand the wind in my ears due to ear infections and it does its job to keep the wind out completely!-Waterproof which is a nice touch for the cold windy winters we have here.-I love the look of the green with the brown fur! Very classy!-My husband wants one for the winter too!

I’ve wanted to get a rabbit fur hat ever since moving to Maine. This one did not disappoint me. It’s quite warm and very comfortable and makes me look like I respect the great outdoors. Not bad for a cave dweller like myself.If you have cats, they may enjoy laying on it if you leave it lying about.Recommended

This hat is very fuzzy and warm. Since it is real fur, you should expect it to shed some. The fur does not extend up into the top, it is just on the flaps and front. The inside is just a nylon or polyester lining, but it still seems warm enough. It does run a bit small though, I would normally wear a L and the L/XL fits but is tight.
